FINANCE & OPERATIONS MANAGER
Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for shaping how brands look, feel, and communicate.
Financial Management & Strategy
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance and reporting.
- Oversee accounting operations, financial controls, and compliance processes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
- Analyse financial data and provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Ensure efficient treasury and working capital management.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance activities.
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement operational policies and internal control systems.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and contract administration.
- Coordinate cross-functional operations across departments.
- Identify operational gaps and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Support organizational planning, performance tracking, and resource allocation.
Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Lead fundraising initiatives including grants, sponsorships, partnerships, and investor engagement.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities from institutions, development partners, venture capital firms, and strategic partners.
- Prepare financial materials, proposals, investor decks, and fundraising reports.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, sponsors, donors, and funding organizations.
- Support negotiations for funding agreements and strategic partnerships.
- Monitor funding utilization and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Strategic Leadership
- Support executive leadership in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Provide financial and operational insights to support business expansion and sustainability.
- Develop KPIs and performance measurement systems across teams.
- Participate in board and management meetings as required.
- Contribute to long-term business growth and organizational development strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Minimum of 5–8 years experience in finance, operations, strategic management, or related leadership roles.
- Proven experience in fundraising, investor relations, grant management, or financial partnerships.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and operational management.
- Experience working in startups, media, technology, consulting, or international organizations is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
